New Contract with the State of New Hampshire

The ASSIST-U.S.® Sales and Marketing team announced today (December 17, 2010)  that the State of New Hampshire’s Division of Forests and Lands is contracting with ASSIST-U.S. to perform a video survey of the state’s 4.8 million acres of forest. The Forest Health Section within the Forest Protection Bureau monitors the condition of those lands.

The videography of the state forests is a new program that enables increased efficiency in the collection of this data and provides an historical record in electronic format, including geospatial information, for future reference and planning.

This initial program will provide footage of a selected area that includes the Pisgah State Forest, the largest state park in New Hampshire. It contains a complete watershed north of the Ashuelot River, seven ponds, four highland ridges, numerous wetlands, and a 20-acre parcel of old-growth forest.
