The American Red Cross provides resources on its website to help families and businesses prepare for natural disasters. Individuals and communities who may be affected by hurricanes and other types of natural disasters should check the Red Cross website for information on local conditions and emergency preparedness suggestions and resources. Federal Government Resources
a nationally-sponsored network of communities designed to help educate and train volunteers to “make communities safer, stronger, and better prepared to respond to the threats of terrorism, crime, public health issues, and disasters of all kinds.”
